Hi I am Susan

Hi there,

I am Susan, when Lyndsey asked me to be part of this blog I was incredibly happy! I felt loved, trusted and proud to join Lyndsey in this journey. I am grateful for this opportunity.

For so long feeling alone in the pain I wanted to share my story and let others know they are not alone like I felt when I was first getting diagnosed.

I have such a complex and scary illness so being able to reach out and help, even if it is just one person, makes it all worth it.

So here is a quick intro in to how I got to where I am. 13 Years ago I had a 'simple' foot surgery, 12 weeks off and my body was not able to relax. I was having intense pain all over. It had me terrified. I went for test after test and finally I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis and a thyroid (not sure what that word is). My thoughts turned bad with no relief in sight. God bless Dr Karapathy, the pain doctor I found, who started a process I am still having done to this day. Finding this man, I can truly only thank God for, I was one of his 5 original patients and the only one left after 5 years.

Now I have had 3 Lumbar surgeries and 2 Neck surgeries by Dr Purighalla who is another blessing. These saved me from having my left leg amputated and paralysis.

Some times I wonder how anybody can survive all of this and still be grateful for all of it.

When I found Lyndseys videos I cried watching them, she knew exactly how I was feeling. I was not alone in my pain. Nobody is alone or has to feel like they are ever!! I want to share my struggles with you. Thank you for walking this path on our journey to gratefulness together
