Hi I am Lyndsey, welcome to the madness!
Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.
I am Lyndsey, I am 34. I have 2 cats, well technically 2. I am a crazy cat lady so have lots who come to me everyday. I am married 8 years and would be lost without my husband. He has cared for me during my good and bad times, he has supported me financially and emotionally through so much including when I decided to open my own beauty salon. Sometimes I think I am crazy for doing it, but hey someones got to be the crazy one!
I have suffered health problems for the majority of my life. I was a very lethargic child. My family just thought I was a great kid going to bed early. Doctors told me the pain was just growing pains. So I got on with it.
When I was 18 I started getting more tired and felt horrendous and was putting on weight dramatically. I put on so much weight in the matter of a few months it was crazy. I was diagnosed that year with an underactive thyroid. From then anytime I went to the doctors they just blamed my thyroid. Excessive pain.... thyroid, taking so long to get over viral bugs.... thyroid. You name it they blamed my thyroid. It got to the stage I hated going. I had different things happen, that I will share more about over time, including having 9 ulcers, having brain tramua, my body mimicking a stroke. To finally 6 years ago, when I was so ill my husband was pretty much carrying me to the toilet and back. I was bedridden for months, only getting up to go cry for help at the doctors. I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia that year.
Its been a rollercoaster since that. You can check out some of my journey over on my youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheLyndseyMilligan I want to share more of my journey here with you guys. Things have changed so much since I first got diagnosed and I want to let others know there is hope, and hope is a very very important thing for us. If we don't have hope what is the point!!
6 years ago I started a group on facebook, called Chronic Pain and Fatigue Conditions Support. I gave my everything to the group, to the point it took over my life. There came a time when things went wrong in the group and I lost my love for the group that had been a massive part of my life. I let the amazing admin team take over while I took time away. I am now slowly getting back on track with being active in the group, and I am so grateful for the work the admin team has done to keep the group going. So if you are reading this Hannah and Laura, thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you.
Anyway I think I have rambled enough for now. I will talk more about whats been going on and what my plans for the future are. I have another blog which focuses more on beauty and lifestyle stuff which I will tout another time lol.
If you havent done so already pop over and check out Susans blog post introducing herself. Susan is the sweetest hearted girl, she has been through so much and is still standing, I hope you guys will fall in love with her as much as I have!!

Sending massive loves to you and yours.
